Another email forwarded to me by a coworker had this story. I do not know if the specifics are true but no reason to doubt them.
"PHOTOS STORED IN AN OLD BROWNIE CAMERA
Thought you might find these photos very interesting; what quality from 1941.
Pearl Harbor photos found in an old Brownie stored in a foot locker. And just recently Taken to be developed.
THESE PHOTOS ARE FROM A SAILOR WHO WAS ON THE USS QUAPAW ATF-11O.
I THINK THEY'RE SPECTACULAR!"

More from the same camera:

Hell of a thing to see.... I have heard the story about that camera.. Amazing the film didn't get corrupt after all those years..
-
These showed up in 2006 and are retouched military archive photos. Looked touched because of the multiple focused points on some of these shots which can not be done with film only digital. Sorry Charlie.

For a "sailor" to have snapped pictures from all the perspectives shown above, he would had to have been in the harbor aboard his ship, on the ground, and aloft in an airplane

Oh well photo's are still spectacular
-
Yes they are.... I still like the lost camera scenario... I'm staying with that one... :tongue3:
