Been watching it all unfold all morning.  First thing, DON'T force the update with the command line.  Will roll you back.

This is a particularly huge bummer! My gamer only has DCS on my 2TB spinner after deleting it from my SSD and I have tried to update several times this morning using the CMD line. All I ever got was a message that my version was up to date so I am hoping that nothing happened to it! I sure hope they get this figured out so I can use the command line because that is the only way I have to update it.

JTAC radios comms error due to SA-18 fixed.
AI F/A-18C. Incorrect surfaces position with cold start of AI aircraft corrected.
AI F/A-18C. Default control surfaces after landing corrected.
AI F/A-18C. Aircraft will spawn without hot running engine when selected cold start option on the deck parking.
ME. Ground/water units numeration corrected.
ME F/A-18C payload panel. Added option for removing pylons in the payloads menu.
The modulation of shipborne radios set to AM by default.

DCS F/A-18C Hornet
Sound distortion when passing through Mach 1 corrected.
Radar altitude hold mode autopilot will not be goes to high negative Gs.
The spawned aircraft will not be stucking in the carrier deck.
EMERJ JETT button will require push and hold for the emergency jettison sequence routine. There is no instantaneous jettison.
Fixed the behavior of the aircraft when flaps extended from the AUTO to HALF/FULL positions.
Chaff/Flare EW Page. It is possible to go from a value 100 to 0 by one click UP button.
Bug with pressing UFC button 4 that caused to remove some of the aircrafts elements - fixed.
Fixed countermeasures reload.
MP. Carrier Auto Launch Sequence. A client should have to be within 3 meters of the start of the CAT, with angles in not more 10 degrees to CAT line error and extended launch bar for the shortcut key U to work and connect the launch bar.
MP. The clients will be stand tightly on the deck during the ship

It appears that they are beginning to get their stuff together with the flight deck operations! In the ED 2.5 Wish List forum regarding the Upgraded Stennis, I was told that now (and I am assuming that he meant now that this new update is out) you can spawn 9 players on the deck. We'll see tomorrow night.

"Probably for the next update will be an initial implementation of IFF for the Hornet. Attached are a couple of looks.

A diamond-shaped TD box indicated a negative IFF response (hostile), whereas a standard, square TD box indicates a valid IFF handshake (friendly). Initially, this will be done automatically as part of an STT/LTWS/DTWS (L&S and D2) designation.

At a later point we will investigate a more in-depth IFF system using the encrypted-code system. However, this is a VERY complex system that will take a lot of time, and we currently have much higher priorities. Furthermore, a code-based IFF system will also involve a significant re-write of portions of the AI code.

Also, in the next update we changed the manual (M) radio modulation selection logic to be more realistic based on recent information. The modulation selection will now be in a single Option Select Window and toggle between AM and FM (rather than separate OSW windows). The inability of an entered frequency not be saved (reverts back to default) has also been resolved.

Mine was only about 440 megs. Downloaded in less time than it took to drink a cup of coffee! Bummer that noting was mentioned about the Tarawa and helicopters, or the red beacon lighting up the cockpit in the Harrier, or spawning issues with the Hornet on the Stennis in MP. But hey, we can get rid of the pylons on the Hornet now, so we've got that going for us!!

I will be out on the road for the next several days. I am really curious to know if they fixed the deck sliding issue. With a ship speed of 25 knots and a wind speed of 6-8 knots, will you be able to taxi around on the flight deck normally? Apparently all the other stuff that Wags talked about in his last video are in the update.
