as a Gunnie once told me - "if you don't have at least a couple times in your career moments where 'I'm either getting a medal, or going to the brig' or 'this is gonna hurt' you ain't doing it right."

Thank you.. That is a cool feature of the DCG mission engine. I believe this was for shooting down 3 enemy planes in one sortie. If my failing memory serves me right I made it through this affair unscathed.. However that usually being the exception and not the rule. Earlier this last week I had to nurse a shot up F9F2 Panther back to the floating deck for a lucky trap.

Never really liked being referred to as a hero, I always reserved that for others, but if that helps get me a beer with you and the boys I'll take it... I hope it works out as well... Always touch and go, day by day here...
