Windows 8.1

Just installed windows 8.1. So far I like it Install was the easiest I ever did.

I understand they brought back a lot of the old functions that folks were unhappy went away with win 8.0...like they brought back the start button and added an option to boot up to the desktop...etc.   :undecided:

Microsoft will discontinue support for Win7 in 2016, I think.  With the software development I am learning, I will have to update to win8.* to stay current, just can't afford to yet and will have to pull off any programs I want to keep and reinstall them because the transition from win7 to win8.* is not smooth.   :undecided:
