A-10C Consolidated Training Startup Checklist

LF= Left Front of Cockpit
LM= Left Middle of Cockpit
RF= Right Front of Cockpit
RM= Right Middle of Cockpit
LFD= Left Front Dash
CFD= Center front dash
RFD= Right Front Dash
UFC= Upfront Control Panel
HUD= Heads Up Display

PRE-ENGINE START

1.   RF- Battery Switch:  Set to power
2.   RF- Inverter Switch:  Set to standby
3.   Clear Master Caution Warning caused by left generator coming online (Lctrl-m)
4.   RM- External Position Lights:  Set to Flash
5.   HOTAS THROTTLE- External Lights: Set to On [Set Pinky Switch aft. (Lcntrl-p)]
6.   RF- Canopy:  Close and Lock (verify canopy light extinguished.  Lcntrl-c)
7.   LF- Fuel System Boost Pumps Main L/R:  Set to on
8.   LF- Fuel System Boost Pumps Wing L/R:  Set to on
9.   LM- APU Starter Switch Engage:  APU start and monitor EGT & RPM
10.   RF- APU Generator Switch:  Set generator to power (once RPM reaches 100%)
11.   RF- AC Engine Generator switches L/R:  Set to power
12.   RM- Control Display Unit (CDU):  Set to on
13.   RM- Embedded GPS/INS (EGI):  Set to on
14.   LFD- Central Interface Control Unit (CICU):  Set to on
15.   LFD- Integrated Flight and Fire Control Computer (IFFCC):  Set to test mode
16.   LFD

So does the consolidated checklist eliminate the "checks" that are just a visual check of something that is already set?
