Copying an entire mission to a new Theater
« on: January 27, 2022, 05:19:26 AM »
Read but have not tried it yet.

- Create a new mission in the editor for your desired map. Just create and then save it. No contents whatsoever.
- Open the new miz file with WinRAR (or equivalent) and open the mission you want to copy in WinRAR as well.
- Copy (drag and drop) the folders KNEEBOARD (if present), l10n (contains all the texts, soundfiles and lua scripts) and the file 'mission' to the new mission.
- still in (the new) WinRAR doubleclick on the file 'mission' and open it with an editor (I recommend Notepad++)
- search (CTRL+F) for 'theatre'
- in the line ["theatre"] = "mapname", insert the name of your new map (ie PersianGulf, Syria, TheChannel, Caucasus, Normandy, etc)

That's it. Unit and trigger zone placements will be off of course, just move them to the location where you want them.
