Doesn't appear to be a modem or router problem, Cox cable checked modem and says signal is fine.
However, still getting random drops in internet speeds while downloading which often lead to screen freeze.
have not had time to check other hardware for signs of failure.
I've been working with Demon to figure out the problem and he believes its probably time for me to upgrade to Windows 10.
Today, I was able to download the DCS 2.2 update and harrier in Windows safe mode/ networking.
hopefully the upgrade to 10 with fix problem, and we'll go from there.
If it doesn't help I'll call Cox and see if they can send out a technician.
