You don't think that 750W will handle it?
I'm running an 850W PS, and it all works great. Uses 2 x 8pin cables from the power supply to run the 3080Ti I have.  Thermal design power is 350W, recommended PS wattage is 750W.  It's running at 31°C right now and runs around 60-66°C under load.

I believe that my budget is going to keep me out of the 3080 class. I am looking at a Gigabyte 3070 Ti with 12GB for around $700+  The pisser is, it appears as though I am going to have to buy a new case since the one I am using now will not accommodate these new cards. They're too long.

MSI Ventus 3x RTX3080Ti 12Gb, I've got 32Gb DDR4 3200 of RAM and an i7 8700K CPU in the box too.  It runs Reflecteds P-47 campaign at between 60 - 160fps. That is the Channel map with all the B-17s, P-47s, and enemy planes.  It runs the Syria map very well too.

Thanks Endo

Ranger, I have an i-7 4770, or something like that. 32GB of DDR3 RAM as well I think.

Endo and I are in VR so we have to beef up our gamers more than those using the flat screen.  You can always go with a 3060ti which are selling for about $550 and should be good enough for flat screen.  Or spend another $100 and get a 3070 ti.  You may want to upgrade your CPU at some point but then you may have to get another motherboard to be compatible with it.  Your RAM should be just fine although I have seen the Syria map eat up 47.5 of my 48 Gigs of RAM.  DCS is a huge money pit!

My gamer is probably worth more than my truck.  But then again I'm old school and buy my vehicles pre-dented and all scratched up.  And since we are in hail alley they get a few dimples every now and then.

I had a 3070 and upgraded to a 3080Ti.  Was a big improvement in VR where we’re pretty much on the limit all the time.  Having said that though, the 3070 was a good card and did a good job.  I’d look to the 3070 as a minimum if the $ work.
