This looks interesting. Especially the collective.

PVC pipe is pretty cheap so I might draft one up.

For those using dual monitors, what are some of the limitations with DCS?

I am now using 2 monitors, but the 2nd is only used for accessories such as TS, Video, Starting Platcam, or even TacView Live when I can get it to work. As far as using a second monitor for pilot options there is some Lua set up and so-forth I believe that needs to be manipulated, all depending on what and how your trying to set it up!!

That's probably what I'll do.  Once the down stair bedroom is done (very soo now) I'm using the extra bedroom as an office/exercise room. I'm converting the 6' x 3' closet into my cockpit.

Cougar MFD's double sided foam taped to cheap monitor...works very well for aircraft control.  I just have the different aircraft MFD options graphics set up in a PDF file and scroll through the pages to change which aircraft controls are being displayed and whatever other info I want handy.

That's very cool Animal! So, that is a monitor underneath the MFD's? How did you get the PDF's to appear in the right place behind the MFD's? I just so happen to have a spare monitor taking up space in my man cave that could maybe do the same thing. Talk to me GOOSE!!

SO I thought I remember seeing that you can actually configure the MFD's to appear on another screen within DCS itself.  this might apply to your setup as well, for the 'real' MFD's in game.  (static ones are just a plus of course). Going to find and link it if i can.

I tinkered with the MFD's on the other monitor before...here are 2 links I found quick on some configs that might be helpful:

Generic Multi-monitor:  https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=60815&highlight=multi+monitor

Export to monitor:  https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=70716&highlight=multi+monitor

Yes, I export the MFD's from the game 'real-time' when flying the A-10.  I haven't done it in a while so may have to tweak some stuff if any related files have changed, but I can help anyone set it up if they want to try it.  Be advised that it will put more load on your graphics card.

A few tweeks and some cosmetic work and it will be done.  Works great.  A much more natural feel.  About $15.00 and change.

I'm thinking maybe primer gray ought to do it.

Go on EBay and find a UH-1 collective control head, or maybe one from a Sikorsky S-61. The S-61 is more like a pistol grip. On second thought, it would add an awful lot of weight to that end of the stick and you'd probably never be able to let go for fear of entering autorotation!!  :tongue3:

I'm really liking it.  It's not perfect by all means but very functional.

Very cool.  You can go to the sporting goods store and buy some hockey stick grip tape.  Think it would work well for the handle and be very inexpensive.

Thats a 52 throttle. I removed the piece that causes the 25 and 75% indent. Added autostart to a button. Easy pz.
