I don’t see METAR as a common format for us to use any time soon.  My goal was to provide a tool to help the mission builder a way to interpret their settings and aid in providing a summary of weather conditions in their briefing/plan.

After reviewing the various reports on the websites I can see where people stress out on tests.

The wind is the biggest bugaboo, for me anyway. For some reason that I'll never understand, the ME displays the wind in terms of which way it's blowing rather than which way it's blowing FROM. So, when creating a brief for the mission, you have to remember to use the reciprocal of what is shown on the weather tab. It is also a big PITA when trying to establish an appropriate wind for carrier flight operations. The rest is fairly self explanatory.
