Title: Thud's Quick Reference Checklist
Post by: AG-51_Thud on June 03, 2018, 06:49:35 PM
Quick references.  I pulled from the manual and consolidated.  " A work in progress" and high recommend reviewing the manual for more specific details.

I havn't had a chance to get any stick time since Thursday so I'm trying to make up for it by reviewing the manual.

Correction after testing.  If you're using the checklist plz make a pin & ink change to the following...Cold Start, step 5 - advancing the throttle to IDLE is mapped to R SHIFT + HOME.  The L SHIFT + HOME is a misprint in the manual.

I'll update the page as soon as I get a chance.

Also, does anyone know from experience when you would actually close the canopy?  The manual shows to during taxi but I would think it would be early in the start up process.

I also tested all the Navigation steps and they appear to be good.

I believe that the decision to close the canopy is pretty much a pilot's perogative. I recall Wags saying so ething like, "It's about to get fairly noisy here so I am going to close the canopy." I don't think that there is a procedural issue with when the canopy NEEDS to be closed in terms of that interfering with the actual start process.
