Better find a home soon so you can join us!!!

Ya it might be a while before I can climb into the cockpit but I assure you it will be sitting in my hanger all polished up and ready to go!!!!

Just pre-purchase this baby but I'll probably be to busy with work when it comes out to play it.
-
Tempting, but i just can't right now. Sweet looking for sure.
-
Unfortunately I missed the pre-sale but I will purchase it when it's released.
-
Missed? I think it's still going on. At least that's what I'm seeing on the DCS site. Look under "Modules" instead of "Special Offers"

Magz (streamer on YT and Twitch) has a stream going right now: https://www.twitch.tv/videos/187014434

Spent a little more than I thought for funeral incidentals. No worries, just $10 more when it's released.
-
I know that feeling Thud. I am sure it was all as perfect as could be. Thoughts are with you for sure!!!
-
Thanks doggy. Went great.

this was cool seeing how the controls worked (in his setup)...good idea!

The Visualizer he used is here: https://github.com/mdjarv/JoystickVisualizer

Omg, that's going to feel so weird flying like that with the split throttles.....
-
I was thinking that the little gray slider to the right of the throttles would make a good nozel control but I guess that the left throttle lever might be a better choice.
-
I was thinking of one of the rotaries on the X55
-
@Sabot. Yeah, I'll be using that bottom thumb rotary on the X-55 for nozzle adjustment. And probably one of the rotaries on the base to set to nozzle stop
@Razor, that little grey lever on the Warthog, does it roll smoothly through it's whole range or have detents?

No it is smooth no detents. I will be using the left throttle myself as I use the gray lever for Zoom view.
-
There is actually a small detent at mid travel, which is where I would want the nozel to stop for the SHORT TAKEOFF position and further aft would be for the hover position. All conjecture at this point.

I honestly can not say which will be more exciting......an AV-8B night hover landing on a carrier or catching a wire with the F/A-18.... :tongue3:
-
I will bet you a bottle of your favorite adult beverage that it will be harder to do in the Harrier than the Hornet!!

ooo I will take that bet :lipsrsealed: did I just say that....LOL.. Guess I am just feeling a little froggy after that nicely aged Bourbon we consumed together on the beach.....
-
-
Some of you may have already seen this but for those of you that haven't, I believe that it will really get your juices flowing! The Marine is not what I would call a great orator, but his subject matter is very interesting and the detail he goes into regarding the operation of the Harrier I found to be very interesting.

ouch that's a tough bet but I think I would agree with that!
I will bet you that Bully will take that bet...... :tongue3:
The Harrier can't be ANY worse than the Huey, right.........?? :toothy3:

.......The Harrier can't be ANY worse than the Huey, right.........?? :toothy3:
GAWD! I hope not!! :Rofl
-
No no no
Maybe maybe
Yes yes
Click.
:tongue3:
-
Over the past few days I've watched several Harrier videos, both real world and DCS. If this jet is as much fun to fly as it looks like it's gonna be, I might not be in any hurry to get out of the cockpit...even when the F/A-18 comes out.
-
Will this thing let us pickup and drop off troops??........ :toothy3: :tongue11:
-
Lol Snooch. Same here Fireball. Can even land on a farp.
The LAU-122 is going to be awesome!
Oops. I meant AGM-122.
-
Razbam posted this on FB, so I can say something :) Pending release on Nov 29th !!!

New copy protection info with this release btw: https://forums.eagle.ru/showthread.php?t=196585

Installing it now on 1.5. I didn't get an email but it it poped up as available after I updated 1.5.
-
There is now a KC-130 that carries refueling baskets.
-
Apparently, with this new copy protection system, you need to log into the game (i.e. ED) every three days or the game will not recognize you as the rightful owner of the module. No problem if you haven't for a week or so, as long as you have an internet connection. In that event, you are out of luck until you can get online to validate your "key". Wags has indicated that this may be a little onerous and that they are looking at other options.

And they couldn't see that before they implemented it??? :tongue2:

Sounds like they
